Salary:           R30k + housing allowance + travelling + food allowance

Key Performance Areas (Objectives) and Performance Requirements

Main Purpose

  • To ensure the accurate completion of the bookkeeping tasks assigned within the financial policies and procedures guidelines
  • To ensure an accurate bookkeeping function is performed at all times
  • To capture and complete cashbook Reconciliations for all trading companies on a monthly basis ensuring the correctness of all debit orders and correct allocations
  • To prepare and complete the Stannic Fleet journal – Petrol cards (debit order) on a monthly basis
  • To prepare and complete the Stannic Asset Finance journal (prepare payment monthly + recon) on a monthly basis
  • To prepare and complete the Vodacom Journal (debit order) on a monthly basis
  • To ensure Standard Bank Card recons (debit order) are completed by the cardholders and correctly captured into X3 on a monthly basis

To provide support for the Tanzanian accounts department

  • To oversee the accounting and admin function of the branch as and when required
  • To carry out Ad-hoc bookkeeping as required
  • To carry out Ad-hoc bookkeeping as required
  • To review the trail balance on a monthly basis for accuracy and make any provisional adjustments where necessary
  • To ensure that the accounting manager is informed of training requirements needed in Tanzania when necessary. This is to avoid the incumbent facilitating work that should be done by the Tanzanian structure
  • To provide the full bookkeeping function to trial balance for the Zambian operations.
  • To ensure the accounting and admin function of the branch is completed by the set deadlines set periodically by the accounting manager.
  • To carry out all Bookkeeping duties as required
  • To review the trail balance on a monthly basis for accuracy and make any provisional adjustments where necessary.
