Title:                 Business Development Executive:  Employee Benefits

Area:                Blantyre – Malawi

Salary:              Negotiable

Main Purpose

Seek out and grow the Employee Benefits practice with New Business, with Employer groups requiring Healthcare, Risk and Retirement advisory capabilities.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum of 5 to 10 years appropriate experience in Sales, in the Employee Benefits broking market.

Minimum of full FAIS qualification or equivalent formal qualification

Must have ability to work as part of a team in an open-plan office

Must have the ability to work accurately with attention to detail

Must be a good communicator

Must have self-organisational skills

Understand the importance of confidentiality

Excellent skill of Time Management

Strong critical and strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills

Be fluent in English (other language will be advantageous)

Enthusiastic, energetic, yet professional

Must have own vehicle

Very skilled in Word, Powerpoint (Office and Mac) and Excel

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and pro-actively seek out New Business opportunities

Put together appropriate proposals and present these to clients timeously

Provide clients with technically sound advice

Secure letters of appointment and place cover as required by clients

Handover all files (electronic and manual) to the Service Team as per agreed standard and as per the minimum requirements for Compliance.

Maintain and update information electronically at all times

Attend all meetings as agreed

Keep accurate records of pipeline activity on MarshForce

Meet or exceed agreed income targets

Develop relationships with markets and Key Client decision makers.
